In intense heat
In the scorching heat all around,
I wander aimlessly high and low,
When will I find the coolness?
But is that even there!
Without an umbrella outside the house,
My head spins as I roam,
Under the scorching sun, the earth cracks,
Crops suffer, alas!
When will the people of all oppressed nations
Find their freedom?
From this heat, this suffering,
Echoes the voice of the mind.
In this intense heat a bit more,
I'll drink water,
I'll find solace in the shade of trees
And with life.
